The things that appealed to me most was the disembodied head(lol) and the background. However, it was really short, and seemed rushed. The credits are longer than the actual clip, which is against an unspoken rule of animation, may wanna fix that in your upcoming projects. Also, if you don't already know this, you can fix the sound quality when you click on export movie., by clicking "Set" where it says Audio stream/event and setting bitrate higher and picking "Best" quality. Unchecking "compress movie" may help, I haven't verified that yet.
Yeah I know it's too short... honestly one night I just suddenly wanted to animate something and then focused too much on making the credits last for a certain portion of the song I used.
Thanks for the crit/advice!
No clue what's going on
All I see is Cloud on a bike and then he swings his sword...that went so fast and yet if it was longer, it would be totally awesome and still be a trailer. I mean, trailers usually hint at storylines and I don't see one here...o.O
wait till the full movie when I have my graphic tablet this was just an experiment.
"IT'S GOOD FOR YOOOOOU!" xDDD
Great hilarious flash and awesome song
Wow, I finally stopped.
At the beginning, it was nice.
I got so far into the game that lag became the major killing factor. I had to set the quality to low, and even then, mobs of enemies as well as laggy control lead to slipping off platforms and running into bullets. This game also pissed me off. Good job. No idea what level I'm on.. but I start out with 8 lives
Also, the golden ice creams can go fuck themselves using their sharp asses. Cheap bastards.
I love Tyrian, and this was pretty good as well
Great effort, I can see a lot of work put into this that some people don't realize. I've felt the similarities to toe retro shmups, as well as many differences. Not that this is necessarily bad, I'm just pointing that out. The graphics I was hoping to be pixellated(No, I don't mean the low quality) like them you've described to give it a better fangame feel.
Now for the cons.
The game over remarks are very rude.
At first, I've played it on medium difficulty and went all the way to the Fleet boss, where I got my ass handed to me repeatedly by his cheapo dash attack. (HE STILL ONE-SHOTS ME ON MEDIUM WITH THE BEST GEAR.) The hitbox for that is way too large and he dashes too quickly. You MUST reduce at least one of those aspects in order to actually allow people to even beat the whole thing on medium to hardest difficulty. So I had to go to an easier difficulty, and the freaking boss dies in a heartbeat, he doesn't even get to dash. Blarf. The final boss was loads easier than that angel freak.
Not necessarily a con, but I noticed you don't get your money back for your old stuff when you upgrade. They did this with Tyrian.
Anyways pretty good, worth trying. Good job.
Thanks for your review.
Ship-against-enemy collision was really an issue. The point was to avoid at all costs colliding with the enemy, but it didn't got too when shield and plating were suposed to protect you.
My head is moving now
This is great, I like puzzles. Currently stuck on level 7, when I got all the boxes on the spots, the door opens on the OTHER side and I'm like...FML LOL. I'm not solving this again upside-down, not with my head hurting a little. It's good, I enjoyed it and may continue tomorrow. Here's the image of my unexpected phail for people to laff and learn from: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/45 10/levelsevenfail.png
